Practical Steps for Getting Started

  1. Set up an eBay account
  2. Set up a PayPal account.  Use a credit card (not debit card) as a back-up payment
  3. Buy something for yourself on eBay.  This will give you a feel for how the website works and it will give you a chance to get some feedback on your account.  
  4. Sell something that you already own.  Go through your house and find something to sell that you don't need.  Go through your books, your closet, your garage.  You don't need to spend any money to get started.  This is an easy way to get started and see if you like doing it before investing money in inventory. 
  5. Join social media groups to get great ideas.
